The May 2019 Update, version 1903, for Windows 10 is arriving towards the end of May, and in this walkthrough video, we dive into the best new features and changes.
Windows 10 version 1903, codenamed 19H1, is the seventh feature that Microsoft is making available for desktops, laptops, and tablets, and it’s an incremental update that delivers subtle improvements and several new features, including a new system light theme that expands to the Start menu, taskbar, Action Center, and other elements.
You’ll also find features, such as Reserved storage, which aims to reduce problems installing updates. You will be able to run untrusted apps on your device safely using an isolated environment called Windows Sandbox, and Recommended troubleshooting will fix common issues automatically.
In addition, the Windows 10 May 2019 Update will be capable of setting active hours automatically to prevent random reboots to apply updates, and Windows 10 Home users will finally be able to pause updates.
The emoji panel receives an update to support quick access to symbols and kaomoji.
Windows Search and Cortana now become two separate features, and Search gets its own page in the Settings app. Windows 10 will finally offer settings to customize the color and size of the mouse pointer, Action Center now includes a slider to adjust the screen brightness, and much more.
