Windows 10 build 15002 leaks onto the web with minor additions

Yet another Windows 10 Creators Update preview leaks online unveil a few new improvements.

Windows 10 build 15002 leaks online, but it only includes a few new features and improvements. Microsoft hasn’t release a new test preview for the upcoming Creators Update in weeks. The last official preview the company pushed to Insiders was build 14986, then over the holidays Windows 10 build 14997 leaked online unveiling a slew of new changes. And now, Windows 10 build 15002 has leaked online days before Microsoft makes available a new preview to Insiders.

First spotted by the Twitter user @h0x0d (WalkingCat), Windows 10 build 15002 is actually an official build that the software giant was planning to release to Insiders. Unfortunately, due to certain upgrade problems, Microsoft decided to halt the rollout. However, the upgrade problem has been fixed on newer preview, which means that Insiders can expect a newer build rolling out in the coming days.

Although most of the time builds leaks in ISO file formats, Windows 10 build 15002 is actually a base image, which means that the installation files reside within a .wim file, so it’s not a straightforward process to install.

What’s new on Windows 10 build 15002

However, you shouldn’t worry too much, because according to MSPosweruper, Windows 10 build 15002 only includes a few new improvements. The new leak includes all the changes found in Windows 10 build 14997, plus a couple of new features.

On Settings > Update & security > Windows Update > Advanced options there is a new “Include driver update when I update Windows” option. This new feature allows to block the operating system from downloading newer drivers during Windows Update.

On Settings > Update & security there is a new Cross device experiences page, which according to the description, it’s a feature that lets you open apps on other devices, send messages between them, and you can invite other people to use the app with you.

While you can easily download 10 build 15002, it’s important to note that Microsoft doesn’t support unofficial releases, and they can cause errors, data corruption, and data loss, as such it’s not recommended to install it on your PC. Furthermore, it’s a small update, and you have already seen them major upcoming changes with Windows 10 build 14997.
