Windows 10 version 1809 RTM

Windows 10 build 17763 becomes RTM for the October 2018 Update

Windows 10 October 2018 Update is now reportedly RTM, and Microsoft plans to release it within the next couple of weeks.

The October 2018 Update (version 1809) development for Windows 10 has been finalized according to a new report from Windows Central.

This news means that build 17763 could well be the final version (or the so called Release To Manufacturer (RTM) version), which Microsoft is planning to start rolling out gradually to compatible devices with additional cumulative updates to fix any last-minute problem.

While the company hasn’t mentioned the official release date, sources familiar to the plan revealed to Windows Central that the Windows 10 October 2018 Update could arrive during the October 2018 Patch Tuesday, which this year is happening on October 9. Or it could release as early as October 2, according to an article from Windows Latest that reports that an XML file for the build 17763 ESD image file reveals the release date as “20181002 RS5 RTM WU.”

Of course, this is the plan assuming that there are no hiccups, such as blocking bugs, that could force the company to delay the release until the issue is resolve like it happened with the April 2018 Update.
