Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 10 build 20197 for PCs enrolled in the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider Program. This is the preview number 33 available to testers, and it brings some interesting improvements that we might see in future releases.
Windows 10 build 20197, according to the software giant, introduces a new Disk Management tool inside the Settings app. The operating system already has a tool to manage disks and volumes, but it’s an old experience part of Control Panel. The new experience was built from the ground up with modern improvements and accessibility in mind. It also features better integration with features such as Storage Spaces and the Storage breakdown page.
Similar to the legacy console, the new tool allows you to view all the drives connected to the device, and you can create, resize, format, and change letters for partitions. Although the company is highlighting it now, the new Disk Management tool has been available hidden on Windows 10 since build 20175. In addition to the Disk Management tool, Windows 10 build 20197 updates the ALT + Tab behavior with Microsoft Edge tabs to now have a default of displaying at most five tabs, rather than any recent tabs. If at any point you want to change this, you can do so from Settings > System > Multitasking.
The Your Info settings page has been updated to only show the active profile picture. It’s now possible to select the new Microsoft Edge as your desired app in Assigned Access. The Narrator can now distinguish candidate characters or words by providing detailed reading information when using the Microsoft Pinyin IME. Also, based on feedback Microsoft turning off ESENT Warning Event ID 642.

The preview is available immediately through the Dev Channel. This preview build will download and install automatically on your computer, but you can always force the update from Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and clicking the Check for updates button.
