Thank you for stopping by and appreciate the comment.

Thanks. I peruse the Feedback app. Apparently I'm in the company of many who are like-minded. ST is still part of the preview. Am I wrong to ask for perfection from MS?

If they don't want to fix it, remove it; like your Easy Transfer example.

BTW I appreciate your coverage. Thanks

Rusty.Not,
Sometimes, we find tools in Windows that are very useful, but almost anybody use them. So, Microsoft has to focus on things that people are using.

The same happened with Windows Easy Transfer, I never used it, but many people did and when Microsoft removed this feature from Windows 8, I received many emails complaining about it.

By the way, you can try http://www.picpick.org/en/ it's a great tool to take screenshots.

Thanks,
Mauro

I confess. WPTP 9926 is like the candy shoppe. I observe a few things. Although Windows 7 is cited, I find Vista was there first.

Why do I bring this up, you ask? Thanks. With Vista, MS introduced "Snipping Tool. (ST)" A very useful little accessory for those of us who joined the "Windows Insider" beta-testing program. We can take a screen shot to submit any glitch to the developer team via the feedback app.

Why do I belabor this you ask? Here's why. In Vista ST worked. Somewhere about W7 it developed a "bug."

Originally when you opened ST (in Vista) it started in "Capture" mode. It was designed to do so, I conclude. (I only discovered this when my XP finally bit the dust and I installed an old copy of Vista.)

After the "bug" when you open ST it only "pops-up" You have to manually activate the Capture Mode, either by keyboard [ALT] _N_ _R_ or by mouse. The term "buzz-kill" comes to mind.

Call me selfish. MS has the chance to fix this "code-assassination," short term memory lapse while W10 is still in WTP mode.

The more "votes" received in "Feedback," the more likely they'll fix it. Just saying...
