Windows 10 Mobile updated to build 10586.122 with fixes and support for new phones

Microsoft delivers cumulative update (build 10586.122) for Windows 10 Mobile with several fixes and adds support for more phones on the Current Branch.

On March 2nd, Microsoft is releasing Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.122 to the Slow ring. The new release is simply a cumulative update that includes several fixes different problems based on feedback and improves the upgrade experience from Windows Phone 8.1.

In addition, build 10586.122 also bring support for four additional Windows handsets on the Current Branch for Insiders, including the MCJ Madosma Q501, BLU Win HD W510U, BLU Win HD LTE X150Q, and ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fierce XL.

The company explains that phones enrolled on the Fast ring, which are currently not receiving the update from the Development Branch must temporarily switch to the Slow or Release Preview to download and install the new cumulative update.

Here are the fixes for Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.122:

  • Fixed an issue in Microsoft Edge that prevented Word Flow input on some sites.
  • Fixed an issue that previously prevented the option to “Close all Tabs” in Microsoft Edge from closing all open tabs.
  • Fixed an issue where adding your MSA during OOBE would fail and prevent the account from being re-added after the failure.
  • Improved IMS registration on select mobile network configurations.
  • Improved Kanji input experience while using Continuum.
  • Improved the speed in which thumbnails appear for portrait videos.
  • Improved Internet Sharing on select mobile network configurations.
  • Improved the email sync experiences when connecting to Wi-Fi networks with a captive portal.
  • Improved data connection profiles for dual SIM devices.
  • Improved quality of video record to SD memory cards.
  • Improved video recording audio in some cases.
  • Improved overall OS reliability, including reliability of the Start screen, app updates, and the Windows Feedback app
  • Improved Alarm reliability.
  • Updated background processing of multiple changes to improve battery life of devices.

Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.122 is available immediately through Windows Update for devices enrolled in the Insider program. The update will download and install automatically, but you can always go to Settings > Update & security > Phone update and tapping the Check for updates button.
