Windows 10 for phones: New ‘People Sense’ app demonstrated fully on leaked video

Microsoft recently announced that it’ll be discontinuing its Rooms feature for Windows Phone on a new effort to focus on new features that will help Windows 10 better to stay in touch with people they care about. Today, on a leaked video from Microsoft Place (a non-Microsoft affiliated website) demonstrates a new app called “People Sense”, which seems to be the replacement for Rooms in Windows 10 for phones.

The People Sense app has quite a few features including:

  • Share your location in real-time with your contacts.
  • Integrated messaging and calling application.
  • Integration with navigation applications for step by step directions to your contacts.
  • Integration with your favorite places to show like “home” or “work”.

The app is currently codenamed “Buddy Aware” and while it doesn’t have all the same features Rooms for Windows Phone had, it does have quite a few already in its early stages, and more functionality will be added in future updates.
