This week on tech, new rumor suggests that Microsoft will indeed bring back the Start menu to Windows 8, but the most interesting information is that the menu may come back long before Threshold, the next major update for Windows, which by the way a second rumor indicates that Microsoft could release it in late 2014 and not in 2015 like earlier data stated.

Like every month Microsoft this week released its Patch Tuesday fixing 11 vulnerabilities in Windows and various other products. Xbox One also got a new update fixing SmartGlass, dashboard performance, online gaming, and other improvements.

Continuing with the Microsoft rumors, new report suggests that the software giant is seriously contemplating eliminating the Windows RT and Windows Phone software licensing fees to PC makers to fight back Android and get more terrain in the mobile market.
