Here is just a quick update for all those running the developer preview version of Windows Phone. Starting immediately Microsoft is rolling out a new update for the mobile operating system, bumping the version number from 8.10.14157 to 8.10.14176, which brings a few improvements, including:
- Performance improvements
- Support for HTC devices (even for the Windows Phone 8S)
- Resolves error 80188308, error that was causing some issues leaving phone without storage in the system partition during updates
- General fixes – like always
To get the update simply go to Settings > phone update > check for updates, and the update should start automatically. Remember to have your phone charged or charging, before beginning the update.
And for those Nokia Lumia owners running the Windows Developer Preview software, there is another good news. Microsoft says that will start rolling out the Lumia Cyan firmware for these phones immediately. Although, not every Lumia will get the update today, the software giant says that it will continue pushing the update in the following weeks and all headsets are up to date.
