Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud) launches with 150 titles on September 15, 2020

Microsoft game streaming service, Cloud Gaming, launches on September 15 at no additional cost for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

Microsoft’s Cloud Gaming (formerly Project xCloud) is set to launch on September 15 in 22 countries, and it’ll be available as a streaming service part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at no extra cost.

At launch, members will be able to access over 150 games through their Xbox consoles or Android phones, including titles from the Xbox Game Studios, such as Tell Me Why, Grounded, Forza Horizon 4, and Battletoads, and more games will come to the platform over time.

Cloud Gaming is meant to give you the “freedom and flexibility” on how to play. Because the gaming happens in the cloud, you can start playing on an Xbox console, and then you can resume the same game on your Android phone or tablet.

In addition to the initial 150 games for xCloud, by the holiday season, Microsoft is expected to add EA Play games by the holiday season.

Since Apple previously blocked xCloud on its platform, the new game streaming service won’t be available on iOS, including iPhones or iPads. At least, it won’t be available initially, but the company recently made some changes to the rules for games that could help Microsoft bring Cloud Gaming to Apple devices in the future.
