Mark your calendar, Microsoft has announced today that Xbox One will officially release on November 22, 2013. The announcement was original made at the Xbox Wire website, which also details that at the beginning the game console will ship in 13 different countries including: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and USA, with more countries availability in 2014.
November 22nd, what a particular day, this is the date Microsoft chose back in 2005 with the release of Xbox 360. Previous information suggested that it could be before than PlayStation 4’s launch, but now we know that it won’t be the case, in fact it will be a week after. According to Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President for the Xbox division, the decision is purely because of Xbox 360 success and they just want to see if Xbox One will run with the same luck this time around.
Although Microsoft has confirmed that pre-orders of Day One Xbox One are sold out pretty much everywhere, but because of the high demand and because they are in full production, the company has “manage” to produce a few more Day One editions. So, if you still need to pre-order, check here!
