I wonder too about the DVR thing. I would imagine that you would have to have a pretty beefy HD for that to be feasible. I also wonder if there are some legal obstacles. You mean both, I also cut my cable subscription a few years ago and now I rely on Netflix, Hulu, and others. I wonder if Microsoft will, one day, enable DVR for those with an external hard drive, of course.
