The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi unveils the Mi Notebook Air laptop that not only focuses in performance, but in design, too. It’s a Windows 10 device that is not shy to use Apple products to design its devices, as you can see the similarities to Apple’s MacBook Air.
The Mi Notebook Air is available in two variants: 13.3-inch and 12.5-inch, weighting only 2.82 pounds and 2.36 pounds, respectively.
Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air tech specs
The 13.3-inch model features an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of memory, 256GB storage, and a dedicated Nvidia GeForce 940MX graphics card. According to the company the Mi Notebook Air can last up to 9.5 hours with a single charge, and it fast charges to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
The 12.5-inch model features an Intel Core M3 processor with Intel’s integrated graphics, 4GB of memory, 128GB of storage, and Xiaomi claims up to 11.5 hours of battery life from a single charge.
The Mi Notebook Air also includes a Type-C USB port for charging, two USB 3.0 ports, audio jack port, and an HDMI port.
Both devices sport a 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution display with an aluminum body, and no exterior logo, which give the devices a very clean look. You can also get these new ultrathin laptops in either silver or gold finish. Unlike Apple’s MacBook, the Mi Notebook Air features a keyboard that matches the color of the device instead of plain black.
The Windows 10 laptops are also very thin at 0.58-inch and 0.5-inch respectively, which makes them as thin as the HP Specter, and thinner than Apple’s MacBook Air.
Xiaomi’s Mi Notebook Air laptops are very well priced for its tech specs. The 12.5-inch model costs $525, while the 13.3-inch model has a price tag of $750. These new laptops will be available at Mi.com and in China starting August 2nd.
