Pureinfotech in 2014 review

It’s been a great year for the tech world, there has been many announcements, releases, and rumors which, like always, some turned out to be true, while others did not. Also we’ve learned a lot of new tech tips and how to fix many things on Windows along the way to make the most out of your devices.

In twenty-fourteen, we’ve seen the release of Windows 8.1 Update 1 that fixed tons of the shortcomings in Windows 8, the debut of Windows Phone 8.1, which ended up being a significant update with Cortana, the death of Nokia Lumia brand and the births of Microsoft Lumia brand, the launch of Surface Pro 3 (the tablet that can replace your laptop), Microsoft officially announces Windows 10 with tons of features such as Cortana, floating desktop apps on the desktops, improved File Explorer, Task View among other features, and much more.

So, as I wrap up 2014, in this article we are going to look back and revisit the top fifteen tech stories across Pureinfotech as we prepare for an amazing 2015. The following list includes releases, important announcements, rumors that made headlines, and hands-on tips we’ve learned during the year.

It’s hard to condense a whole year of headlines on fifteen posts as such many of the stories did not make it to the list — from Apple’s iPhone 6 release, to Xbox Live getting DDoS attack, to the cancel of The Interview, to the release of the Microsoft Band, to the launch of Google 5.0 “Lollipop”, and many more.
