  • Windows 11 update KB5067109 for versions 24H2 and 25H2 adds a new Copy & Search feature, improves Voice Typing, and brings proactive memory diagnostics.
  • This rollout also ships multiple bug fixes and improvements for Click to Do, Start menu, File Explorer, Taskbar, Widgets, and more.

Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 11 build 26220.6982 as the update KB5067109 for version 25H2 through the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider Program. This preview brings new features and improvements for existing experiences.

At the same time, Windows 11 24H2 is getting build 26120.6982, with the knowledge base number (KB5067109), as version 25H2, with the same improvements in the Beta Channel, because they are identical operating systems.

According to the new announcements, the Windows 11 update KB5067109 brings a new “Copy & Search” feature, Voice Typing gets a “Wait time before acting” feature, and now the system will detect when your device is having Blue Screen of Death problems, and it’ll suggest scheduling a memory check with the legacy Windows Memory Diagnostic tool.

In addition, the Settings app is getting updates for the Home’s “Device Cards,” About page, and Search.

Finally, this release also pushes various fixes and changes for Click to Do, Start menu, File Explorer, Taskbar, Widgets, and more.

What’s new on Windows 11 KB5067109 for versions 25H2 and 24H2

These are the latest changes that Microsoft has been working on for Windows 11 25H2 and 24H2.

Copy & Search new feature

Quickly search anything you copy, right from the Taskbar. Whenever you copy text in the operating system, a paste gleam appears in the search box on your taskbar. Click it, and your copied text will instantly populate the search field.

Voice Typing improvements

On Copilot+ PCs, you can now customize how quickly your voice commands are executed. The new “Wait time before acting” setting lets you adjust the delay between speaking and action. It helps Voice Typing better match your rhythm, resulting in more accurate recognition.

Options include Instant, Very Short, Short, Medium, Long, Extended, and Very Long.

Proactive Memory Diagnostics

Microsoft is experimenting with a new feature designed to catch memory issues early. Starting with the update KB5067109, you may see a notification after signing in if their system experienced a bugcheck (a crash or unexpected restart). The prompt offers to run a Windows Memory Diagnostic during the next reboot. The scan takes about five minutes or less, and your PC boots normally afterward.

Settings app changes

In the Settings app, Microsoft is also bringing some changes as part of builds 26220.6982 and 26120.6982. For example, the “Device Cards” now show key details more clearly, with improved layout and navigation for a smoother experience.

The About page has been redesigned for better structure and flow, making it easier to explore device insights and jump to related areas like Storage.

In addition, Search has been upgraded, so you can now scroll through all results directly in the flyout, eliminating the need to open a separate page.

Other fixes and changes

In addition to the new features and improvements, Windows 11 builds 26220.6982 and 26120.6982 ship various fixes, including:

  • Click to Do: A new hint now appears when launching Click to Do, helping users discover quick actions. However, on multi-monitor setups, the hint may appear on all screens and must be closed individually.
  • Start menu: The Windows Search flyout now matches the larger Start menu size, creating a smoother transition for Insiders using the updated layout.
  • File Explorer: On-hover file actions in File Explorer Home, previously available to Microsoft Account users, are now rolling out to enterprise customers.
  • Taskbar: The new Taskbar animations are rolling out again.
  • Windows Studio Effects: Support is expanding to more camera types, now including Snapdragon and AMD Copilot+ PCs, with fixes rolling out gradually.
  • Input: Resolved an issue where the touch keyboard might stay visible after logging in through the login screen.
  • Widgets: Fixed a login issue affecting some users.
  • Administrator Protection: Addressed a bug where the UAC prompt text could be cut off when running apps as an administrator.
  • Task Manager: Fixed grouping issues so that some apps and their processes are now displayed together.
  • Other: Shutdown prompt buttons now feature rounded corners for a more polished look, and fixed a bug where Phi Silica-powered text actions in Click to Do and Recall weren’t working properly in the previous build.

Microsoft also notes known issues with these updates, including:

  • General: You may see USB devices, like keyboards, stop working after recent updates.
  • Taskbar: The Start menu may not open on click, and some apps aren’t appearing in the system tray as expected.
  • File Explorer: In dark mode, the copy dialog may flash when toggling details, and scaling text can cause the scrollbar and footer to disappear or show as a white block.
