Build 26300.7760 (KB5077202) for Windows 11 26H2 improves Cameras and Taskbar (Dev)

Microsoft pushes a quality update to Windows 11 26H2 with new features for cameras, new emojis, and other visual changes.

  • Windows 11 build 26300.7760 (KB5077202) was released to the Dev Channel, and build 26220.7755 (KB5077201) was released to the Beta Channel with the same changes.

Microsoft has released Windows 11 build 26300.7760 as the update KB5077202 for version 26H2 through the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider Program. This preview introduces one new feature, fixes, and some improvements.

In addition, the company is also rolling out Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.7755 (KB5077201) in the Beta Channel with the same chances as those availble in the Dev Channel.

According to the company, the “Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26300.7760)” introduces new camera settings, rolls out Emoji 16, and includes visual changes to the Taskbar and desktop icons.

Although this article lists the changes for version 26H2, Windows 11 still shows 25H2 as the version number. However, eventually, the version number will change to 26H2.

Camera Pan and Tilt support

Starting with the update KB5077202 and KB5077201, Microsoft is updating the “Cameras” settings control pan and tilt on supported cameras. The settings available under the “Basic settings” options are while on the camera’s page.

Emoji 16

In this rollout, the development team is also including new emojis from version 16, including face with bags under eyes, fingerprint, leafless tree, root vegetable, harp, shovel, and splatter.

Other improvements

As part of the general improvements, the company notes visual changes at the bottom of the screen when the taskbar is set to autohide, desktop icons unexpectedly flashing, and a Windows Security pop-up for credentials.

The official note doesn’t reveal any known issue with this release.

To download and install this Windows 11 build, enroll your devices in the Dev and Beta Channel through the “Windows Insider Program” settings from the “Update & Security” section. Once you enroll the computer in the program, you can download the build from the “Windows Update” settings by turning on the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” option and clicking the “Check for Updates” button.
