Sometimes when changing Windows or programs configuration, you may be required to access files and/or folders that are hidden from the common user. Most the time these files and folder are hidden to avoid clutter or it could be for one of the most obvious reasons, accidental deletion.
So today we are going learn how to show hidden files and folders in Windows.
This process will work with Windows 7 & Windows Vista. Windows XP is explained at the bottom of the article.
1 Click Start
in the search box “Search programs and files” type Show hidden files and folders.
2 In the search result under Control Panel title, click on Show hidden files and folders.
3 Folder Options window will open in the View Tab.

4 In the Advanced Settings section look under Hidden files and folders and click on the option Show hidden files and folders.
5 Press Apply then Ok.
How to show hidden files and folders in Windows XP
1 Go to Start
and Click My Computer .
2 In the menu bar Click in Tools then folder options.

3 Continue with the steps 3, 4 & 5 mentioned above.
