The new Xbox 360 dashboard update is out today! Just in time, Microsoft is deploying it out 3 days before the release of the anticipated motion camera Kinect -- this Thursday in the U.S. and November 10th in Europe --. Users will get the update via Xbox Live service the next time they sign in, starting today. This is a mandatory update that it should not take too long depending on you internet speed.

The new Xbox 360 Dashboard update is out today! The new update will bring a few new features, and they include:

  • New look and feel user interface and better browsing experience.
  • ESPN on Xbox Live.*
  • Netflix Search.*
  • Zune Music.*
  • Better voice quality on chat.
  • Better Gamertag creation.
  • Easier wireless networking.
  • Updates for the forthcoming Kinect and much more.

For your information, every user, no matter the location, should be able to get the update. If for any reason you cannot update to the new Xbox 360 Dashboard, be patient and try again a little bit later, as a lot of people may be trying to get the update at once.

* Note that Xbox 360 users must be a Gold member in order to access some of these features and not all of the features will available for all Xbox Live regions.
