On Wednesday, just a little over 14 weeks of the final release of IE9, Microsoft made available for download Internet Explorer 10 platform preview 2 for developers to test drive.
In this latest release IE10 has a much improved HTML5 support and developers can start working on web applications with several site-ready HTML5 technologies and achieve better performance and greater security. Microsoft have posted over 270 new tests to the Internet Explorer Test Center and submitted them to the standards bodies. Internet Explorer 10 is expected to be available only for Windows 7 and in the next version of Microsoft’s operating system code name Windows 8. Future releases of IE10 PP will be available in cycles of 8 to 12 weeks periods. We may also have a beta release before the end of the year.
