Microsoft releases Mouse and Keyboard Center 2.0, replacing IntelliPoint and IntelliType Pro

If you ever bought a mouse or keyboard from the Microsoft Hardware line, you may have noticed a piece of software called IntelliType Pro or IntelliPoint, which were the programs that allowed you to change and customize these Microsoft’s devices. Today the software giant is replacing these two programs with Mouse and Keyboard Center 2.0 bringing to one place all the configuration for these kind of peripherals.

The new update brings a revamped UI that match the new Windows 8 modern user interface, plus “Explore features with pop-up descriptive and “how-to” InfoTips. Includes access to an online How-To/Troubleshooting library. Includes access to an online Healthy Computing Guide for tips on how to work more comfortably on your computer.”

In the image below you can see how the Mouse and Keyboard Center looks and it also features the Microsoft Touch Mouse — Why am I showing you this? Because the company also promised to make this mouse even more compatible with Windows 8. If you are a proud owner or you are thinking on buying one, you’ll enjoy all the new gestures specific for Win 8 like switching apps, bringing the Charm or the app menu, among other gestures and features.
