Xbox One April update, part one, available now as preview with new improvements

Xbox One Party and Game Hub

As we get closer to April, Microsoft is already working on the next Xbox One system update. Like always, the company is releasing the new update via the Xbox One Preview program, but this time preview members will get the update in two parts. The first update is available immediately, which includes a number of improvements to party chat, game hub, and achievement notifications.

Here is the breakdown:

Party chat: The update brings troubleshooting guidance and it will help users to get the microphone enabled and show when the privacy settings or networking issues are blocking communication with particular party members.

Game hub links: Now it’s easier to discover game hub content, you’ll see activity feed items when any of your friends follow a game, and you’ll be able to get back to a hub from activity feed posts related to the game. Microsoft also added a link to game hubs from the game’s page in the achievements app.

Achievement notifications: For the next update, the company is working on adding achievement’s description in the notification, so you know more about the achievement before opening it. Now also achievement notifications open a lot faster.

Microsoft has already began rolling out these three new improvements on March 20, and the second part of the April system update for Xbox One will release sometime next week to the Xbox One Preview program.
