Windows 10 build 10125 video tour

Windows 10 build 10125: Hands-on with the new icons, Windows Hello, and features (video)

Here is what's new in Windows 10 build 10125.

A new preview of Windows 10 (build 10125) has leaked onto the internet unveiling a number of improvements and features over the last official preview, Windows 10 build 10122. The slightly newer version includes updated icons, new customization options for the Start menu, updated Jump Lists, Windows Hello, and a few new improvements for Tablet mode.

Those not wanting to go through the task of installing the leaked version of the operating system, can now watch the video I have published on YouTube highlighting all the changes and features Microsoft is developing for future updates of Windows 10.

While Windows 10 build 10125 isn’t a version like to be a public release, it does give us an early look of what is to come, including changes on:

Start menu

  • “New” label indicating that a new app has been installed
  • Network Beta app
  • Clicking a letter from the “All apps” will display a grid of letter to jump to a specific app much quicker
  • Jump Lists now appear in the Start menu and taskbar
  • Date and Time gets updated with new styling
  • Tablet mode (Continuum) gets global back button on the taskbar

Action Center

  • UI gets refined and borders get updated

Settings

  • Users can now customize the list of places in the Start menu above Power options
  • Now it’s possible to disable app suggestions and stop displaying recently installed apps

Windows Hello

  • New security feature is enabled in Windows 10 build 10125
  • Windows Hello provides two options: one to enable and disable the feature, and another to add extra security by requiring to turn face left and right to unlock the screen

New icons

  • File Explorer, This PC, Quick Access, Devices and Drives, Network, and pretty much all icons get overhauled in this new build

What do you think about the new changes in this build? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
