Microsoft pushes three new updates for Windows 10 build 10122 and hints build 10130 could be the next release. Today, through the Windows Insider Hub app, the software giant announced that is releasing three new updates (KB3046002, KB3049563, and KB3067515) for Windows 10 build 10122.
The new update KB3046002 deals with “vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user opens a specially crafted Journal file. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less affected than users who have administrative user rights.”
Update KB3049563 resolves “several reported vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer. The most severe of these vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user views a specially crafted webpage in Internet Explorer.” And there is also KB3067515, which is a security update for Windows 10 Insider Preview.
Microsoft’s Gabriel Aul said that the company is already testing Windows 10 build 10130, and confirmed that due to blocking bug on Windows 7 and Windows 8 upgrades that breaks the Start menu, Windows 10 build 10122 won’t make it to the Slow ring — therefore there won’t be official ISO files for this build.
While these updates aren’t critical, you let Windows 10 install the updates automatically, but you can always go to Settings to update manually.
