Microsoft is having a pretty busy day, therefore keeping tech writers busy as well. On November 18, the company is releasing a new cumulative update for “Windows 10 Version 1511” for PCs along with Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.
The new cumulative update is described as KB3118754 and according to the Microsoft notes, it includes improvements to enhance the functionality of the operating system.
In the first cumulative update for the new version, it’s interesting to see that Microsoft now refers the operating system as “Windows 10 Version 1511”, instead of simply calling it: Windows 10. Also, users will note that the build number for the operating system has jumped from build 10586.3 to build 10586.11, which happens to align with the build number of Windows 10 Mobile that the company released to the Fast ring.
As always, the November 18, 2015, update for Windows 10 is cumulative, therefore, the package includes all previously released fixes. If you have installed previous updates, only the new fixes that are contained in this package will be downloaded and installed to your computer.
KB3118754 is rolling out now to everyone, but you can always check by going to Settings > Update & security and clicking the Check for update button.
