Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 11 build 27902 in the Canary Channel, which includes only fixes (not new features) and the option to download the ISO file for a clean installation of the operating system.

Fixes and improvements for build 27902

According to the official changes, build 27902 includes some undisclosed improvements and fixes to improve the overall experience of the operating system.

In addition, Microsoft is addressing a bug in File Explorer that prevented the app from remembering view changes, which also affected desktop icons. Furthermore, it is fixing another bug that caused the Camera app to malfunction.

Known issues for build 27902

As part of the known issues, the company notes that this flight may cause the error 0xd0000225 and error message “Something went wrong, and your PIN isn’t available” on Copilot+ PCs. However, recreating the Windows Hello PIN should address this issue.

Some users may experience the Blue Screen of Death with the error “KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE” after upgrading, which is related to an active VPN connection. Also, Windows 11 build 27902 continues to include the Windows Vista boot sound at startup.

In the Settings app, Microsoft is investigating a crash with the “Power & Battery” page and text problems.

Finally, in this release, the company is warning about rendering problems when connecting using the Remote Desktop on ARM64 devices.

Install Windows 11 build 27902

To download and install this Windows 11 build, enroll your device in the Canary Channel through the “Windows Insider Program” settings from the “Update & Security” section. Once you enroll the computer in the program, you can download the build from the “Windows Update” settings by turning on the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” option and clicking the “Check for Updates” button.
