At the same time, the software giant is rolling out Windows 11 build 26120.6682 for version 24H2, also as update KB5065782, with the changes and fixes for version 25H2, since both operating systems are virtually identical.

The Start menu gets AI prompt suggestions, Microsoft is implementing Emoji 16.0, Windows Narrator gets better in Word, the Advanced Settings page is back in the Settings app, and you’ll find a new Second Chance Out-of-box Experience (SCOOBE).

What’s new on Windows 11 25H2 build 26220.6682
These are the latest changes that Microsoft has been working on for Windows 11 25H2.
Click to Do new features
Click to Do now includes a Copilot prompt box to make it easier to interact with the chatbot when using this AI feature.

Also, the new menu will show prompt suggestions using the Phi-Silica AI model built into the operating system.
When using the right edge gesture in Click to Do, you’ll now see a new visual animation for a clearer visual cue.
Furthermore, when opening the Click to Do context menu, you’ll now see new and popular tags to help you discover new actions.

Finally, Click to Do will now show more concise summaries with the “Summarize” action.
Settings app with new Advanced page
In the Settings app, the update KB5065782 introduces a new Advanced settings page that replaces the For Developers page. The page includes a new design that groups settings in different categories and adds new features, such as Git integration in File Explorer.

However, I’ve noticed that this version doesn’t include the option to enable Long Paths or Virtual Workspaces that were previously available in preview builds.
Redesigned SCOOBE page
The Second Chance Out-of-Box Experience is the page you typically receive after updating or randomly after signing into your account to configure additional features, such as backing up your data to the cloud, changing your browser settings to Microsoft’s recommendations, and importing your browsing data to Microsoft Edge.

In this release, the company is adding a reminder to notify you that your Microsoft subscription requires attention. You can always disable the SCCOBE from the Settings app.
Desktop new indicator capabilities
You can now relocate hardware indicators, such as brightness, volume, airplane mode, and virtual desktops, to different positions on the screen.

You can change their positions using the new “Position of the onscreen pop-up” menu available on Settings > System > Notifications.
Emoji version 16.0
This release ships with Emoji version 16.0, which includes a set of new emojis, such as Face with Bags Under Eyes, Fingerprint, Root Vegetable, Leafless Tree, Harp, Shovel, and Splatter.
Windows Narrator new improvements
Windows Narrator now provides a more fluid and natural reading experience in Word, featuring enhanced voice feedback, continuous reading, and smarter navigation across footnotes, comments, lists, and tables.
- Natural voice feedback: Pitch no longer spikes when announcing headings or grammar and spelling errors, making narration smoother and less distracting.
- Footnote navigation: You can now navigate via footnotes and clearly hear footnote numbers for better orientation in reference-heavy documents.
- Continuous reading: Narrator won’t stop unexpectedly during long text passages.
- Comment reading: Focus is correctly tracked when moving from the document canvas to the comments pane, preserving context while reviewing feedback.
- Consistent announcements: List style and level are announced based on verbosity settings, ensuring formatting and position context.
- Complete reading: Narrator reads the full list of items, even when they span multiple lines.
- Keyboard navigation: Use “Ctrl + Up” or “Down” to move between list items.
- Quick navigation commands: Jump to table edges in Scan Mode: Row start: Ctrl + Alt + Comma, Row end: Ctrl + Alt + Period, Column start: Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Comma, and Column end: Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Period.
- Boundary awareness: Tab key navigation announces when you reach the last cell to avoid accidental row additions.
- Cleaner entry feedback: “Entering table” is announced only once when moving across cells.
- Non-uniform table alerts: Narrator flags tables with missing cells for better structural awareness.
Other fixes and changes
In addition to the new features and improvements, Windows 11 builds 26220.6682 and 26120.6682 ship various fixes, including:
- Taskbar: Improved reliability of auto-hide behavior, and animations are now smoother. The Taskbar will show if an app has an alert (orange highlight), and the company fixed interaction issues with apps or the desktop just above the Taskbar.
- File Explorer: Removed empty “Shared” section from “Home” view when no content exists, restored video thumbnails for files with specific EXIF metadata, fixed context menu bug that made File Explorer unresponsive to clicks, and addressed app hangs when launching Open and Save dialogs.

- Start menu: Resolved issue where Start menu dismissed during Windows key + Shift + S screenshot. Improved overall reliability of the Start menu in recent builds, and fixed random scrolling to the top within the menu.

vmmemCmFirstBoot
process post-login, preventing system unresponsiveness. - Search: Reduced instances of search getting stuck in a loading state.
- Settings: Fixed a crash problem when accessing the Optional Features page.
- Voice Access: Resolved error 9001 preventing Voice Access from functioning.
- Windows Hello: Fixed Safe Mode boot failure with “PIN isn’t available” error, and addressed PIN setup failure (error 0x80090010) on Entra-domain joined devices with latest updates.
- Audio: Addressed a problem affecting audio in apps using the Network Device Interface (NDI).
- Other: Fixed a bugcheck (green screen) that occurred during hibernation, which could mimic shutdown behavior, and resolved the issue causing the shutdown to hang on a black screen with fan noise.
As part of the known issues, Microsoft notes:
- Click to Do: A swipe gesture from the right edge of the primary display displays visuals on the wrong screen.
- Lock Screen: Media controls may not appear on the lock screen in this build. Being investigated.
- Windows Studio Effects: Some external webcams may fail to display a preview when Studio Effects are enabled due to firmware compatibility issues.
