Microsoft isn’t waiting for the next Patch Tuesday, today the software giant is once again releasing new Windows 8.1 updates to fix five issues on the preview version of the operating system, including Windows RT 8.1 Preview.
Several weeks ago Microsoft released its first set of update for the preview, which dealt with a various applications and compatibility issues. For more information, check this previous update.
The new updates rolling out today include:
- ListView does not scroll smoothly in Windows 8.1 Preview (KB2868208) — This update fixes an issue that could cause ListView contents not to scroll smoothly.
- Single sign-in (SSO) does not work for VPN connections that use certificate authentication in Windows 8.1 Preview (KB2866763) — Assume that your organization requires user certificates for virtual private network (VPN) authentication. You try to access corporate network resources when you are connected over VPN on a Windows 8.1 Preview-based computer. In this situation, you may be prompted to re-enter your domain credentials.
- Update improves file search experience on SkyDrive in Windows 8.1 Preview (KB2868581) — This update adds improvements to the file search experience on SkyDrive.
- Repeatedly offered update for a nonpresent device in Windows 8.1 Preview or Windows RT 8.1 Preview (KB2867624) — This update deals with the issue in which a Windows update is repeatedly offered for a device that is not present on the computer.

Compatibility update for Windows RT 8.1 Preview and Windows 8.1 Preview: June 2013 (KB2863312) — This is a compatibility update to improve the overall user experience. (This compatibility update is dated June 2013.)
