The chances of you needing to run Windows 95 on an Android Wear smartwatch are pretty low, to none. But it doesn’t matter, it feels good to know you can… Or at least that’s what this 16-year-old thinks.
Although, the Samsung Gear Live features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512NB of RAM, 4GB of storage, and a 1.6-inch, 320 x 320 pixel display. It’s enough hardware to install a virtualized version of Windows 95, even though the processor is an ARM-based chip and the twenty-year-old operating system was designed to run on x86-based chips.
The YouTube video tittle “Windows 95 on Android Wear” shows the obsolete version of Windows running on the Samsung’s smartwatch. Though, it’s not quite useful as it was in 1995, you can move the cursor around with touch and navigate the operating system, which it is buggy in such environment.
