On February 3rd, Microsoft is releasing a brand new firmware update for its Lumia 950 XL and dual-sim Lumia 950 smartphones running Windows 10 Mobile. The new firmware is described as version 01078.00038.16025.X, but it’s only a minor update to fix and improve elements of the handsets.
The new changes have been announced at the Microsoft forums, where a support engineer explains that the firmware update will only be available on the select phone models, region or network service provider.
The company says that at this time the update is only available on selected open market variants, but more phones will gradually be getting the new firmware in the coming days.

As always, the update will download and install automatically on the Lumia 950 XL and dual-sim Lumia 950 handsets. However, you can always check for updates manually by tapping Settings > Update & security > Phone update > Check for updates.
