Adblocker on Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS

How to block ads on Android and iOS devices with Microsoft Edge

You can now use Microsoft Edge to block ads on Android and iOS devices.

Microsoft Edge now blocks ads on Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad) devices automatically. However, the software giant isn’t building an ad-blocking feature, instead, the company has partnered with Adblock Plus to integrate their technology into the browser for mobile devices.

While it’s a significant step for Microsoft, Google and Mozilla already include content blockers, but they’re not as aggressive as the Adblock Plus. For instance, Google’s ad-blocking feature for Android only blocks certain ads, and Mozilla’s Firefox for Android only stops advertisements when using a private session.

If you’re looking to stops ads on your Android or iOS mobile device, you can use the Edge browser to control which website show ads.

In this guide, you’ll learn the steps to enable the Adblock Plus feature on Microsoft Edge to control annoying advertisements on Android and iOS.

Important: While ad blocking features can be helpful, we always advocate supporting your favorite websites by allowing their ads, as such we would appreciate it if you whitelist Pureinfotech to keep us delivering free content.

Microsoft Edge has been downloaded over five million times on Android devices, and it’s getting momentum, and offering a way to control ads may just help the browser to keep climbing.

The new feature still in the testing stages, and it’s only available for the beta version of Microsoft Edge for Android devices. However, the software giant is expected to start rolling out this feature more broadly very soon. Also, Microsoft is testing the adblocker feature on iOS devices, but it’s not clear when it’ll officially arrive to iPhones and iPads.
