- Windows 11 Build 26200.5733 is rolling out to Dev Channel Insiders (version 25H2 development) and Build 26120.5733 to Beta Channel Insiders (version 24H2), both including the changes for File Explorer, Search settings, fixes, and known issues.
As part of the version 25H2 development, Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 11 build 26200.5733 in the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider Program with a small set of improvements and new features.
In addition, the company is making build 26120.5733 available in the Beta Channel with virtually the same changes. However, this release belongs to the version 24H2 development.
According to the official notes, both build 26200.5733 and 26120.5733 include an updated version of File Explorer that will show people icons under the “Activity” column from the “Recommended” section in the “Home” page. However, this feature is only limited to users with a work or school Entra ID.
On the “Search” settings page, under the “Privacy & security” section, Windows 11 is removing the “Manage or clear your Bing search history” setting since you can access the same option from the “Privacy dashboard” link at the bottom of the page.
Other fixes and changes
In addition to the visual changes and new features, both previews include several fixes.
- Start menu: Fixed crashes affecting the updated Start menu for some users.
- Taskbar: Resolved an issue where dragging the mouse across a Taskbar preview thumbnail could break click functionality.
- Lock Screen: Addressed a crash preventing Lock Screen widgets from displaying or being added.
- Input: Restored multi-finger touchpad gestures that were broken in the previous flight.
As part of the known issues, some users may encounter update rollback errors (0x80070005), and a dao360.dll issue causing app crashes.
The new Start menu may display a cluttered alphabetical layout with blank icons. In the Taskbar, pinned apps may disappear. File Explorer dark mode shows incorrect drive color indicators, and black may be used for remaining space instead of a visible shade.
On Copilot+ PCs, Click to Do may lag initially, live captions may crash with translation attempts, and Xbox controllers connected through Bluetooth may cause a Green Screen of Death.
