Microsoft has released Windows 11 build 26300.8085 as the update KB5079483 for version 26H2 through the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider Program. This preview introduces some new features and a small set of improvements and fixes.

In addition, the company is rolling out Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.8079 (KB5079482) in the Beta Channel, but this time, the preview includes only the input and networking improvements and no new features.

According to the company, the “Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26300.8085)” ships with the Pointer Indicator feature as part of the Accessibility experience. You will also find improvements for the magnifier feature, and this preview fixes networking issues in the Control Panel.

Microsoft is also releasing an updated version of the Feedback Hub with a modern interface and new features.

Although these changes are part of development for version 26H2, the operating system may still report version 25H2 in Settings for now. Microsoft will update the version number closer to the official release.

Also, navigation has been streamlined. For example, My Feedback now appears directly in the navigation pane, while Community feedback (formerly All feedback) makes it easier to discover and engage with submissions from others.

The Announcements page has been removed to keep the focus on giving and exploring feedback, though announcements remain available on the Windows Insider Blog.

A new compliment feedback type lets you highlight what’s working well, and you can now choose whether your feedback is private or visible to the community. In addition, there’s also a new focused feedback experience. If you need the full experience, you can expand it at any time using the button in the upper‑right corner.

Finally, there are improvements for the screenshot capture and review tooling to make it easier to capture and include visuals when sharing a bug or anything else.

Other changes

The company has also released several other improvements for the operating system:

  • Magnifier: The feature can now magnify protected content.
  • Network and Sharing: Fixed an issue where the Network and Sharing Center could incorrectly show two active Wi‑Fi connections after switching networks. It now correctly displays only the newly connected network.
  • Input: Improved explorer.exe reliability when closing the input flyout, and improved reliability when configuring the fluid dictation option in Voice Typing settings.
