In addition, the company is rolling out Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.8271 (KB5083728) in the Beta Channel with similar changes and fixes available in the Dev Channel.
According to the company, the “Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26300.8276)” ships with an updated version of the Settings app that makes the “Default location” and “Allow location override” options unavailable when “Location services” is disabled in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location.
Also, the company has improved navigation when opening Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
Microsoft also notes that it is improving the placement of icons in the File Explorer search box to be more consistent across devices.

In addition, there are reliability and navigation improvements in File Explorer.
Microsoft is also pushing the reliability and performance of Windows Hello fingerprint after the computer wakes from sleep.
Also, you’ll find performance improvements for the Clipboard History and the company notes improvements for fonts. For example, builds 26300.8276 and 26220.8271 update the Leelawadee UI font family for the Thai, Lao, Khmer, and Lontara scripts to improve glyph sequencing, positioning, and rendering.
Although these changes are part of development for version 26H2, the operating system may still report version 25H2 in Settings for now. Microsoft will update the version number closer to the official release.
