Windows 11 could release on October 20, 2021. Microsoft recently revealed that Windows 11 will be the name of the next version of its desktop OS despite the company previously saying that Windows 10 was the last version of the operating system.
Although Microsoft revealed a massive overhaul to the UI design experience during the event and demonstrated a lot of new features, the company didn’t share specifics on when exactly the Windows 11 is expected to launch.
Sure, in the written announcement, the software giant said that the rollout will begin “this holiday,” and it will continue in 2022 for existing Windows 10 and new devices, but it didn’t say the exact date. However, Microsoft is known for teasing and hiding things in plain sight. So, now, it appears that the company is hinting at October 20, 2021, as the release of Windows 11.
This is because the “10/10/21” date and “11:11 AM” time appears in the taskbar’s clock of all the screenshots that Microsoft made available for the press. If you paid close attention before the event, the company scheduled the event for “11” AM and posted an image of the Windows logo with a light reflection that resembles the number “11” in the invitation, hinting that it was going to use “Windows 11” as the name.
Of course, this is not official, and if Microsoft is thinking of October 20, this could be just a tempting date or nothing at all.
Whatever the case might be, we will know as soon as the company feels the OS is complete and ready.
