UPDATED 10/30/2025: Microsoft is officially rolling out the new Start menu design for Windows 11, and you can try it now after installing the November 2025 Security Update available through the Stable Channel. In this guide, I’ll show you how to complete this configuration.
The redesigned Start menu combines the “Pinned” and “Recommended” sections with the “All” menu into a single scrollable experience that automatically adapts to screen size. In addition, you can change the view of the “All” section with three options, including category, grid, and list. Furthermore, this new design finally allows you to remove the “Recommended” section.
The company is gradually rolling out the new features, but if you don’t have the new design, you can enable it manually using ViveTool.
