Microsoft is keeping Windows 8 Pro upgrade cheap for students

Microsoft just announced that starting February 1st will offer students Windows 8 Pro upgrade for $69.99 via the online Microsoft Store. The offer will be available in the U.S. and in 49 additional countries the offer will arrive in March 19th.

This is a good news for many users, because as you may know by now, Microsoft is offering the upgrade version of Windows for $39.99. But this promotional offer is set to expire January 31st and starting Feb 1st, the upgrade will cost $199.99.
