How to reset audio settings to defaults on Windows 11

3. Reset audio driver settings

  1. Open Start.

  2. Search for Task Manager and click the top result to open the app.

  3. Expand the “Sound, video and game controllers” category.

  4. Right-click the audio adapter and select the Uninstall device option.
