On September Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners with a Xbox Live subscription are getting four new free downloaded games to expand their library as part of the Gold program. For the month of September, Microsoft is making available The Deer God and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on Xbox One and Crysis 3 and Battlestations Pacific for Xbox 360.
Throughout the month of September, Xbox One owners with an Xbox Live Gold member can download The Deer God for free (game with a regular price of $14.99). In addition, during the same month Gold members can download Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (game with a regular price of $29.99).
On Xbox 360, starting September 1st and until the 15, Gold members can download Battlestations Pacific for free (game regularly priced at $24.99). Finally, on September 16 and until the end of the month, Xbox Live subscribers can download Crysis 3 (game regularly priced at $19.99).
In addition to the Games with Gold program, Microsoft recently made available a new Xbox One console featuring 1TB hard drive to let you keep expanding your game library, and the new Xbox One Wireless controller with a standard headphone jack for $399.99. Also, the company announced that Xbox One backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games is coming later this fall, which is just another reason to get an Xbox One, while Preview members can already test this feature.
Keep in mind that you need an Xbox Live Gold membership to take advantage of Microsoft’s Games with Gold program. If you don’t have a subscription there are always good deals in Amazon, and if you have an Xbox 360 running out of space, remember that now you can purchase and connect an external USB hard drive of up to 2TB to save Xbox 360 games.
