Surface Laptop Studio, Go, SE, Duo picked up March 2022 update

Microsoft pushes updates for many of its Surface devices, and here's all you need to know.

Microsoft has released a wave of updates in March 2022 for many of its Surface devices to fix critical security vulnerabilities and improve system stability.

The updates are available for Surface Go 2, Laptop SE, Laptop Studio, Laptop Go, Laptop 3, Pro 7+. In addition, Surface Duo is also getting an update with new features and improvements for locked and unlocked AT&T devices.

Surface update history for March 2022

These are the improvements, fixes, and new features with the March 2022 update.

Surface Go 2

  • Firmware 1.0.1.7: Surface UEFI – Firmware.
  • Firmware 11.8.90.3987: Surface ME – Firmware.
  • System 2120.100.0.1085: Intel Management Engine Interface – System Devices.

Surface Laptop SE

  • Firmware 5.8.139.0: Surface UEFI – Firmware.
  • Software Component 1.63.1155.1: Intel ICLS Client – Software devices.

Surface Laptop Studio

  • Firmware 18.101.141.0: Surface UEFI – Firmware.
  • Firmware 15.0.1879.1: Surface ME – Firmware.
  • System 2120.100.0.1085: Intel Management Engine Interface – System Devices.

Surface Laptop Go

  • Firmware 13.102.140.0: Surface UEFI – Firmware.
  • Firmware 13.0.1889.2: Surface ME – Firmware.

Surface Laptop 3

Surface Pro 7+

Surface Duo

  • You can use Android apps on your PC with the Your Phone app.
  • Addresses scenarios outlined in the Android Security Bulletin—February 2022.
  • Improves device and UI stability.
  • Improves system performance.
  • Improves reliability in the Android Auto experience.

The update should download and install automatically, but if you have not received it, then you get it from Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and try to force the download manually.

Also, the update will install automatically on Surface Duo, but you can install it manually from the Android update settings page.
