
If you’re using the version of Office that comes bundled with a Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) subscription, eventually you may need to uninstall it from Windows 10. For instance, if you need to free up a license to install the apps on another device. You’re seeing errors or other problems, and you need to reinstall Microsoft 365. You no longer want to use the product, and you want it removed from your system.

Uninstall Microsoft 365 Office using Settings
To uninstall Office from Windows 10, use these steps:

Open Settings on Windows 10.

Click on Apps & features.

Select the Office product installed with the Microsoft 365 subscription.

Click the Uninstall button.

Once you complete the steps, the Office apps will be removed from your device.

Alternatively, you can also use a tool to completely uninstall the Office apps bundled with Microsoft 365.
To use the “Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant” (SetupProd_OffScrub.exe) tool to remove Office from your device, use these steps:

Double-click the file to launch the uninstaller.

Click the Install button.

Check the option to confirm that you’ve saved your work.

After you complete the steps, the set of Office apps available with your Microsoft 365 subscription will no longer be available on your device.
Reinstall Microsoft 365 Office on Windows 10
If you need to reinstall Office, use these steps:

Sign in with your Microsoft 365 account credentials.

Click the Install Office button from the top-right to download the installer.

Double-click the downloaded file to begin the automatic installation of Office.
Once you complete the steps, a clean copy of Office will install on your device fixing any previous issues.
Using Microsoft 365, you can’t uninstall individual apps anymore, such as Word or Excel, but you can still remove individual apps when you purchase the standalone version of the suite.
