If you do not want the AI-powered activity tracking feature on your device, Windows 11 now offers a supported way to remove Recall and its related components without workarounds or registry changes.

Windows Recall is an AI feature designed for Copilot+ PCs that continuously captures snapshots of your on-screen activity and uses on-device AI to make apps, websites, documents, and actions searchable through a timeline-style interface. The feature is meant to help you quickly resume things you have seen or worked on before.

Although this feature is disabled by default, it’s possible to remove it through the Settings app, PowerShell, and Command Prompt.

In this guide, I’ll explain how to completely uninstall Windows Recall from your Copilot+ PC running Windows 11 25H2, 24H2, or later. If your computer isn’t a certified Copilot+ PC, then the feature won’t be available to you.
