Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones Start

Microsoft announces that will release a new Windows 10 for phones build on Friday, April 10 at 10AM Pacific Time.

The person in charge of the Windows Insider program, Gabriel Aul, made the announcement today in the latest episode of Windows Weekly.

This new build, according to the company, will support a wider range of Lumia devices with the exception of Lumia Icon and Lumia 930 — These handsets will be able to update to Windows 10 in later builds.

According to Microsoft’s Gabriel Aul, the new user-interface is too small to support these devices and there is a number of bugs to be resolved, as such Icon and 930 owners will have to wait a bit longer. However, those users with a supported Windows phone, this Friday will be exciting, as for the first time they will be able to test what the software maker has been working on.
