Cumulative update KB4023680 is now rolling out for PCs running the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Unlike the update Microsoft recently made available for those running the Creators Update, this new release is significantly smaller without any new features or significant improvements.
KB4023680 bumps the version number of Windows 10 to build 14393.1230, and it only fixes a small problem with the End User Defined Characters (EUDC).
What’s new on Windows 10 build 14393.1230
Microsoft has announced KB4023680 in its support site, and it’s referred as “May 26, 2017—KB4023680 (OS Build 14393.1230)”. If you’re still running the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (version 1607) on your PC, the update will only address one issue:
- Addressed issue where End User Defined Characters (EUDC) may not be visible in some applications.
How to download this Windows 10 update
Windows 10 build 14393.1230 (KB4023680) is only available for PCs immediately. The new update will download and install automatically, but you can always force the update from Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and clicking the Check for updates button.
