Windows 10 version 1511 gets new update with minor improvements

Windows 10 for PC and Mobile get new cumulative update bumping version build number to 10586.240 and 10586.242 respectively.

The version 1511 of Windows 10 (non-insider) for PC and Mobile is getting a new cumulative update. According to the company, the new update brings the PC version of the operating system from 10586.218 to 10586.240 and version of Windows 10 Mobile jumps to 10586.242.

While the new update doesn’t bring a significant feature, the update includes improvements on app compatibility and upgrade experience. In addition, Microsoft notes that there are changes in the Settings app specifically on the user-interface for tracking data usage on the Network and wireless settings.

The cumulative update also improves reliability of reminders on Cortana and navigation bar for some devices.

Then there is a fixed for an issue for SD card readers that were not recognized before. And finally, the company updated the Daylight Savings feature in countries with Daylight Saving changes.
