Windows 11 build 25926 outs in the Canary Channel

Microsoft pushes a small update of Windows 11 through the Canary Channel.

Microsoft is now rolling out Windows 11 build 25926 for computers enrolled in the Canary Channel of the Windows Insider Program with some additional changes and improvements.

Build 25926 for Windows 11, according to the official changes, introduces a new bell icon for notifications in the System Tray that now shows a colorized icon based on your system accent color. When there are no notifications, and the clock is visible, the bell will be empty.

As part of the accessibility improvements, this flight adds a new setting to tune the intensity and color boost to the color filters on Settings > Accessibility > Color Filters.

Finally, the update also pushes an updated version of the Snipping Tool that introduces new buttons to edit in Paint for screenshots and edit in Clipchamp for screen recordings.

Installing builds

To download and install the Windows 11 build 25926, you must enroll your device in the Canary Channel through the “Windows Insider Program” settings from the “Update & Security” section. Once you enroll the computer in the program, you can download the build from the “Windows Update” settings by clicking the “Check for Updates” button.

Update August 21, 2023: Microsoft is pushing the update KB5030120 as build 25931.1010 to testers, but the update does not include new. It is only designed to test the servicing pipeline.
