Xbox Music for Windows 8.1 gets new Snap view, improved playlist, and more

Xbox Music update for Windows 8.1

Microsoft pushes new Xbox Music app update ahead of Windows 8.1 launch. This is a modest update and brings three key changes: access to your now playing list of songs from the navigation pane, a new snap view, which makes a bit easier to multitask while managing what you’re listening, and users will also note an overall performance improvement.

These aren’t huge changes, but definitely are welcome improvements to enhance the experience. The update follows the recent news of Microsoft releasing an Xbox Music app for Android and iOS, and updating the Xbox Music web player to streaming songs for free on all Windows 8 devices through a web browser.

If you’re running the Preview or got your hands on the RTM, you can go to the Windows Store app and complete the update — that is of course, if you have the auto-update disabled, otherwise you’re probably updated.
