  • Windows 11 build 29553 rolls out in the Canary Channel for version 27H2.
  • This update brings platform changes and an updated version of the Feedback Hub app.

Microsoft is releasing Windows 11 build 29553 to the Canary Channel, delivering another incremental update that includes only platform changes as it moves to a new active development build.

According to the official changelog, “Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (29553)” doesn’t introduce new features or fixes, but it ships with a new version of the Feedback Hub app.

In this updated version of the app, feedback submission is now simpler thanks to a single unified template, complete with category search and a modernized form designed for faster iteration and future improvements.

Also, navigation has been streamlined. For example, My Feedback now appears directly in the navigation pane, while Community feedback makes it easier to discover and engage with others’ submissions.

The Announcements page has been removed to keep the focus on giving and exploring feedback, though announcements remain available on the Windows Insider Blog.

A new compliment feedback type lets you highlight what’s working well, and you can now choose whether your feedback is private or visible to the community. In addition, there’s also a new focused feedback experience. If you need the full experience, you can expand it at any time using the button in the upper‑right corner.

Finally, there are improvements for the screenshot capture and review tooling to make it easier to capture and include visuals when sharing a bug or anything else.

Other details

It’s important to note that Windows 11 27H2 has not been officially announced. So far, the company has only indicated that the Canary Channel will split into two separate development paths as part of a platform change. This move strongly suggests that work toward version 27H2 is underway.

Preview build download

To download and install this Windows 11 build, enroll your devices in the Canary Channel through the “Windows Insider Program” settings from the “Update & Security” section. Once you enroll the computer in the program, you can download the build from the “Windows Update” settings by turning on the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” option, and then going to Advanced options > Optional updates and check the preview build in the 29500 series, and clicking the “Download & install” button.
