According to the official changelog, “Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (28020.1743)” ships more controls for the Shared audio feature, improvements for the context menu, and a new Feedback Hub app.

Shared audio feature

The update KB5081339 expands the Shared audio (preview) experience with more granular controls and broader device support.

The operating system now includes separate volume sliders for each person when two Bluetooth LE Audio devices are connected for audio sharing. You can continue to adjust volume for both listeners at the same time through the main volume controls available through Quick Settings or on-device and keyboard controls.

There’s also a new Taskbar indicator that appears whenever audio sharing is active. This visual cue makes it clear that your sound is being shared and provides one-click access to the sharing settings.

On the hardware side, support for shared audio continues to expand, and now, it’s available on the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4, Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, Sony WF-1000XM6, and the Xbox Wireless Headset.

Context menu UI update

Starting with build 28020.1743, Microsoft is updating the context menu so that when you right-click a specific file (such as “.exe,” “.bat,” or “.cmd”), the “Open” entry will also display the app icon associated with the file.

Also, navigation has been streamlined. For example, My Feedback now appears directly in the navigation pane, while Community feedback makes it easier to discover and engage with others’ submissions.

The Announcements page has been removed to keep the focus on giving and exploring feedback, though announcements remain available on the Windows Insider Blog.

A new compliment feedback type lets you highlight what’s working well, and you can now choose whether your feedback is private or visible to the community. In addition, there’s also a new focused feedback experience. If you need the full experience, you can expand it at any time using the button in the upper‑right corner.
