  • Windows 11 build 26300.8170 (KB5083632) is now available in the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider Program with a small set of improvements and fixes.
  • The update introduces improvements for storage features, Secure Boot, and Feedback Hub.
  • Microsoft is also rolling out Windows 11 build 26220.8165 (KB5083635) in the Beta Channel with virtually the same changes.

Microsoft has released Windows 11 build 26300.8170 as the update KB5083632 for version 26H2 through the Dev Channel of the Windows Insider Program. This preview introduces improvements to existing features and a small set of fixes.

In addition, the company is rolling out Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.8165 (KB5083635) in the Beta Channel with similar changes and fixes available in the Dev Channel.

According to the company, the “Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26300.8170)” ships changes to how to format FAT32 volumes via commands, from 32GB to 2TB.

Microsoft also notes that it is improving the navigation performance when opening the Disks & Volumes settings page. In addition, when opening the “Storage” page, you’ll notice the User Account Control dialog when opening the temporary files settings rather than when opening the section page.

This update also fixes a problem with the “Data Usage” page, where the page showed large, unrealistic values.

Starting with builds 26300.8170 and 26300.8170, the company began rolling out the green, yellow, and red badge alerts about the current state of the Secure Boot certificates in the Windows Security app > Device security > Secure Boot.

Microsoft is also pushing the Feedback Hub version 2.2604.101.0 to the Dev and Canary channels with a series of usability and experience refinements.

The update improves overall window behavior by adjusting the default window size for a more consistent starting experience. It also adds persistence, meaning the app now remembers your preferred window size across sessions, eliminating the need to resize it repeatedly.

Navigation has been made more intuitive by supporting the mouse back button, allowing you to move between pages more quickly without relying solely on on-screen controls.

Microsoft also addressed a visibility issue where community feedback appeared less frequently than expected. That should now be resolved, restoring a more consistent flow of Insider submissions and discussions.

In addition, the feedback system itself has been refined. Upvote buttons now display correctly for users with Chinese as their display language, improving accessibility and ensuring consistent interaction across locales.

Finally, the new version of the Feedback Hub app is now available in the Beta Channel and is no longer limited

Although these changes are part of development for version 26H2, the operating system may still report version 25H2 in Settings for now. Microsoft will update the version number closer to the official release.
