Although the Artemis II mission’s journey around the Moon has concluded, NASA continues to release additional imagery from the flight. In a recent post on X, the agency highlighted a selection of standout shots from the mission’s extensive photo gallery, showcasing Earth as seen from deep space through the Orion spacecraft windows.
These images capture some of the most striking perspectives of our planet, from fully illuminated views to delicate crescents fading into darkness.
The images featured below were captured during the Artemis II mission and showcase Earth from multiple perspectives inside the Orion spacecraft, including Earthset over the Moon, a fully illuminated view against deep space, and sweeping atmospheric arcs that reveal the planet’s curvature and the gradual transition from daylight to night.
